So yup, I have been a bad blogger. Was busy playing with kids and other fun stuff. I promise though I have done no house work. I would never ignore you for such silly things. Her is a mish mash of stuff I have been shooting over the past nine days.
New Diaper. How cute is that?!
teething is just mean and nasty. The monkey has been on a steady diet of frozen waffles.
teeny tiny baby leaves
That pretty sky is just happiness.
The girls are my art directors, they set this up in the back yard and came in for me. "mom get your camera we made the flood beautiful"
One of my very favorite parts of spring. Tiny purple flowers that cover the back yard.
Hello pretty Tulip.
She has been doing this since she was just a wee little thing. Love watching her get lost in her own world and just be a little girl. I know my days are numbered.
always ready to strike a pose.
fluffy pink blooms.
ok all caught up.

Max loves his books, I know I have said this before. but he really does. I have sat on the kitchen floor a few times because who can say no to those big brown eyes bringing me Mr. Brown Can Moo. Dishes in no way shape or form have the effect on me that my little bubs does. He wins every time. The thing is I will pick the books up and no matter where he is or what he is doing the second he spots I have put them up he will come and redo it his way. Then sit and "read" them all.

So, most of you know I am a total sassy pants, but am am also a huge sap. For some reason watching my girls walk into school always pulls at my heart. They get bigger by the minute and while they still need me a great deal they really are budding into fine young ladies. Yesterday during teacher conferences they took care of their brother without me (in the hall, but still they did not need me) The selfish part of me wants to keep them tiny and all mine and letting go one step at a time hurts but all I need to do is step back and watch them. The pain of what is no more is soon replaced by the "wow look at them shine" This mama business sure is full of all kinds of crazy emotional nooks and crannies.
*I did not have them walk one at a time into school, Marcelina had to be dropped off early for Festival of Arts rehersal*

I love watching my kids "get it", it really makes all the hard mom moments totally worth it. Miss Ella has struggled with reading, she figured since she could not read like her sissy then she just could not read. She struggled, she got frustrated and we just kept chugging along, sometimes tearfully. Well in the last month or two I have watched my girl spread her wings and take off. She reads everything with such passion. Library books take on a whole new meaning for her and even chapter books are not so scary anymore. My Ella Joy is a reader, a good one and this mama is proud.

The boy loves his daddy and has a built in clock that tells him when it's time for daddy to be home.
Ahhhhhhh, that's what I am talkin about.
And in other news we have a sleeper. This mama is getting real sleep for the first time in almost two years. (had bad pregnancy insomnia) Ya baby! I must admit I find it very funny to have an almost thirteen month old who needs to be swaddled, he hated it when he was a newborn. Little goof, but hey whatever works.

The little people and I spent the morning with my super talented peep Jessica Svoboda. I am very excited to see what she captured through her lens. I love her vision, the emotion she gives a photo. I am always inspired.
I kept my promise Jess, no, you know what. Love you buddy.

Abuela sent socks up from Florida. Two things I love about these socks, buying socks and making sure people are wearing them is just an abuela thing and I think the fact that she chose socks that do not match means my crazyness is rubbing off on her. I totally need socks like this.
Hurry home Abuela, all our toes miss you.
